Tree Circles - Lios, Forts

The Gaelic word lios can mean: a ringfort, a planting, a fortified place, an enclosure for cattle (in Ireland and Scotland).

This photo is an aerial view of a tree circle planted by Kennedy oaks on an island right beside the Atlantic in Connemara, to offer shelter for cattle.

An outside sanctuary - If you would like a lios, a natural room outside, a sanctuary, a sheltered spot to sit and meditate or picnic with friends contact Kennedy Oaks to plant one for you. Exposed coastal areas not a problem.
